LiHyTech has pioneered a proprietary technology which integrates electrodialysis and custom-designed ceramic membranes to facilitate lithium extraction from lower grade brine feedstock ranging 10-200ppm Li. This is a game-changer with direct application to economically extract lithium, irrespective of impurities, from >90% of oilfield, geothermal, and desalination brine previously overlooked.

Amongst all other competing methodologies, our continuous extraction process has one of the lowest energy requirements and the least environmental impact through 100% renewable power with no addition of chemical or fresh water.
The extraction of one ton of lithium emits approximately 15 tons of CO2 into the atmosphere, accompanied with water contamination, soil degradation, biodiversity loss and low lithium recovery.
Despite many promising claims, existing DLE technologies are mostly target-specific and highly unreplicable across different brine sources with varying chemical compositions. Broader implementation has not yet come to fruition.
Our innovation to economically extract lithium from low-grade geothermal and oilfield brines opens up a new world of lithium resource, extractable at 1st - 2nd quartile of the global lithium cost curve.
LiHyTech’s proprietary ceramic membrane is the only membrane technology discovered thus far which can extract lithium from extremely low lithium feedstock, such as seawater (0.2 ppm).
After initial success extracting lithium from seawater, LiHyTech is building a pilot plant using oilfield brine, which contains 20ppm lithium and significantly less contaminants.
LiHyTech’s plug-and-play extraction modular units can be transported and assembled on site. We aim to establish production joint venture with existing brine owners as well as to acquire ownership of lithium resources worldwide.
